The Messershmitt 110's undercarriage leg.
Oil from this leg still weeps out 16 years after the excavation.
The DB601 engine, which as you can see the back of in this picture, a lot of digging by hand to release it from its resting place
Just after its extraction from the soil, Steve Vizard examings this inverted " V12 " engine
A view of the crash site in the spring of 1985 looking south, you can see a small depresion in the middle of the picture where just month's earlier we had excavated the remains of the twin engined fighter bomber.
